April 12, 1961: Yuri Gagarin was the first person in space and to orbit the earth. For this he was awarded Hero of the Soviet Union, the nation's highest honor. After this experience, he became deputy training director of the Cosmonaut Training Centre outside Moscow. This was later named after him.
At Wings of Angels Mercy Flights, we offer flights for emergency situations. We are able to work with you and make arrangements based on your individual situation.
Among our latest projects include restoring a 1940 Waco UPF-7 and a 1940 Piper J3 Cub. Both types of planes have history with the Civilian Pilot Training Program in World War II.
